Play Spider updates
— The game on the home page is now the same game as the Play Solitaire: Spider app for Android. The deal you were playing and links to a deal number open on the Choose a deal page.
— Where the app would show an ad, the home game shows the app's page on Google Play instead. The one for hints gives you the hint after 3 seconds, as in the app.
— Hint and autoplay find a winning line far more often. In your browser the solver now finishes 116 of the first 200 2-suit deals instead of 2, and 39 of 200 4-suit deals instead of none.
— New game now picks from 1,135 deals the solver has finished instead of 40: 389 with 1 suit, 377 with 2 suits and 369 with 4 suits. From October 1 the daily and monthly challenges use them too, so the 4-suit challenge stops coming back every few days.
— When you win a free deal and haven't played today's challenge in that difficulty yet, the result window takes you there.
— The home page now explains what changes between 1, 2 and 4 suits, and shows how many deals of each our solver finished with the same search budget.
— Play Spider is now in Dutch and Indonesian.
— The menu button is three dots; on phones the old gear was a speck. On wide screens the top menu keeps four links so it fits on one line in every language.
— The table no longer shrinks after a win. The empty columns simply fade out, so the page does not jump.
— Hint now plays the solver's next move for you instead of pointing at a card with a yellow ring. If the search runs out of time, it plays the best quick suggestion instead.
— Firebase Analytics now measures page visits. Saved games and personal records stay in your browser; the privacy page explains what is collected.
— The controls now sit inside the green table, bottom right: New game, difficulty, Undo, Hint and a ⚙ menu with Restart, Redo, path check, autoplay, zoom, pause, sound and the deal type. Nothing but the title is above the board, so it starts at 130px on desktop and 115px on a phone instead of 376px and 504px.
— Below the board: today's challenge with the difficulties you've finished, and your win rate, best time and daily streak. Reopen a deal you've won and your best time and moves on it appear beside the deal number.
— A daily streak now survives one missed day per week. Instead of a 0 it invites you to start today. After your first win the browser is asked to keep your records, and where the browser allows it you can add the game to your home screen.
— When no move is left, Undo to the last branch takes you back to the last position where you had a choice.
— Play Spider is now available in 18 languages and regional variants. English is the default; the language menu at the bottom of every page keeps your deal and difficulty.
— Share links open in the development preview too. Replays keep your own moves, undos and redos so you can review them move by move. New games now show a dealing animation.
— Added verified new deals, daily and monthly challenges, deal selection, win rates and best records per difficulty, and achievements. Added dragging runs of cards, move and flip animations, path checking, stoppable autoplay, and a celebration dialog that leads to the next deal.
— Added 1-, 2- and 4-suit Spider with resume, undo and redo, hints that explain why, a solver and the daily challenge. Finished deals can be replayed and shared as an image or link. Every win shows a message, a badge and confetti, and the replay page lets you compare the Rust solver's own solution.
